You can’t save the whales if you can’t afford to fish. Often times many of us say that we want to help people, and that’s most likely true and that’s a good thing to want to help others and even take care of others whether it’s family or friends or someone in need. The problem is that there is a lot of people who say that and continue to say they want to help other people but in reality can barely help themselves. Sometimes even people will go into debt trying to help others and thinking they are saving them when they are many times doing more harm than good to themselves and even the person or persons they are trying to save. For one, debt is not a good thing, and it creates bondage and fear by being in debt and staying in debt, and another thing is that by continuing to help people in that way by just handing out something continuously to the same people, without teaching them to (fish) for themselves, that person or persons become dependant on you and eventually have no drive or reason to become independent. There is an old saying that goes “Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime.” And this principle holds true in other areas of life as well. In business, for example, there are many business owners who are not keeping track of their business expenses, and are spending much more on advertising and other costs involved in doing business, and end up running out of capital many times before even breaking even. Many marketers are running out of capital as they are so focused on “building a business” without considering the options available to create cashflow, while “building that business.” Setting up streams of cash flow , and building a business are two seperate things and in network marketing, many networkers go broke trying to build their residual income, but aren’t brining in any cash flow to offset the costs of advertising, buying products, tools, etc. needed to grow a business, which takes more time and effort than generating “cash flow” or “streams of cash flow” in the process, and so they can’t help other networkers if they can’t stay in the game long enough to stay a float themselves.

How Can Focus Make or Break Your Marketing Efforts?

Your Focus plays a major role on the outcome of marketing your business. If

your focus is broken, whether it’s your own thoughts wandering and not

concentrating on what you’ve set out to accomplish, or if it’s people or things

surrounding you and distracting you in your efforts, the results will be most

often less than what you expected. On the other hand, if your focus isn’t shaken

or broken, and like a laser beam, you zero in on your daily marketing strategy

and all of the other tasks that accompany whatever products, services, or

businesses that you are marketing, and finish each one of those tasks, staying on

track and even tweaking your marketing strategy on a consistent basis, more

than likely your marketing efforts will meet and many times exceed your

expectations. This might seem like such a basic truth and common knowledge,

but it’s something far too many people overlook, and even though this is simple

to know and realize, putting it into practice is much more difficult. It definately

pays to know who or what is or has been stealing or breaking your focus. An

example of this would be someone trying to study for a test in their home with

some small children running around and yelling, along with the dog barking, in

addition to the phone ringing off the hook, etc. Now that person would have

quite a difficult time focusing on the material needed to be learned for the test

with all of that chaos going on vs. taking the material to study into a more

relaxed and quiet environment such as the library. If you find that your focus is

being broken often and it’s affecting your marketing efforts, a useful technique

would be to make a list of the people and the things that are breaking your

focus, and think of what steps you can take to get your focus back on track and

rarely broken. This is something needed to be done on a daily basis, which is

fighting for your focus…
